Asif Ali reveals that 'Maheshum Marutiyum' was initially planned to be titled 'Maheshum Gouriyum'!

Asif Ali and Mamta Mohandas starrer ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ is heading to the big screens this Friday (Mar 10). Written and directed by Sethu, ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ reportedly revolves around Mahesh, who is in a love triangle with a Maruti 800 car, and a woman. Asif Ali and Mamta Mohandas, are playing the lead roles, and the former recently divulged that the film was initially planned to be titled as ‘Maheshum Gouriyum’!

Yes, that’s right! The film was initially going to be titled ‘Maheshum Gouriyum’, however, after the script reading sessions, the entire team decided to go with ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’, as the protagonist was more in love with his Maruti car, than Gouri! Well, looks like petrolheads would totally agree with this!

Asif Ali and Mamta Mohandas are on a promotional spree, ahead of the release. Well, the team even wanted the other lead - the car to take part in the promotional events, however, it wasn’t possible!

‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ seems to be quite a relatable film for all those who have a fondness for their vehicles.

Apart from Asif Ali and Mamta Mohandas, ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ also has actors Premkumar, Vijay Babu, Dr. Rony David Raj, Idavela Babu, Varun Dhara, Prashanth Alexander, and Kunchan, in some pivotal roles.

The film is releasing worldwide on March 10, and the bookings are open.
