Atif Aslam makes his Malayalam debut with ‘Haal’ starring Shane Nigam

Popular Pakistani singer Atis Aslam, known for his chartbusters such as 'Aadat', 'Woh Lamhe', 'Pehli Nazar Mein', 'Tera Hone Laga Hoon' is set to make his Malayalam debut with Shane Nigam’s ‘Haal’. Shane Nigam, who is headlining the upcoming romantic entertainer confirmed that Atif Aslam is on board. He also confirmed that he is ‘addicted’ to the song crooned by Atif Aslam for the film. The song is composed by debutant Nandagopan V, and the lyrics are penned by Mridul Meer and Neeraj Kumar.

He dropped a photo clicked with the singer on Instagram and said, “Aadat, woh lamhe, tere bin and almost all your songs are the ones that is always close to my heart. Your voice soothes our soul. I am truly blessed to have gotten the opportunity to meet you and have you lend your voice for a song in haal. I am already addicted to this song, I hope everyone will love it too. #haal #atifaslam.”

The singer has reportedly recorded the song in a studio abroad. Sources suggest that a popular female singer is also part of the song. The upcoming track will also mark Atif Aslam’s return to the Indian film industry after a hiatus of almost seven years, as the Supreme Court lifted the ban on Pakistani artists working in India.

Directed by Prasanth Vijayakumar, ‘Haal’ is scripted by Nishad Koya, known for his films such as ‘Ordinary’, ‘Madhura Naranga’, ‘Thoppil Jopan’ and ‘Shikari Sambhu’. 'Haal' is said to be one of the massive-budget films from Shane Nigam's recent works. The film's shoot will commence in Kozhikode by the first week of May. 'Haal' is planned to be shot in locations like Kozhikode, Mysore and Jordan. Shane Nigam will join the film by the first week of May after completing the Tamil film ‘Madraskaran’ The makers have planned to release the film in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages.
