Bhavana to be a bold school teacher in her next film
We had already reported that actress Bhavana is busy preparing for her role in a woman-centric movie, helmed by actor-director Vijay Menon. We have finally got wind of the character she will be playing in the movie titled '
'Her character Aswathy Ananthakrishnan is a bold and committed school
About the movie, the director says, 'While it has a serious theme and a strong message about social responsibility, it will be an entertainer.' The film is scripted by Vijay's son Nikhil. Talking about his experience working with his dad, the engineering student says that the initial plan was to write a book on the subject.
'When I presented the story to my dad, he asked me to make a screenplay out of it. I put in a lot of work and I believe we have a solid script now,' Nikhil says. Vijay though tells us that although he liked his son's work, he was not convinced about directing it himself. 'I was a bit sceptical initially, thinking that I am just being biased because he is my son. So, I took it to Renji Panicker, who read it at a stretch in two hours and asked me to go ahead,' he says.
Apart from Bhavana, 'Vilakkumaram' also has actors Manoj K Jayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vinod Kovoor. 'A lot of kids will also be part of the film that will go on floors today,' says Vijay, adding that film will be shot in Trivandrum and Ladakh.
