Cinematographer Jomon T. John ties the knot; Ranveer Singh and other celebrities extend their well wishes

Popular cinematographer Jomon T. John, best known for his work in Bollywood and Malayalam movies, has tied the knot. The ‘Simmba’ cinematographer tied the knot with Ansu Elsa Varghese at a resort in Kumarakom. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family.

The groom, Jomon T. John, and bride, Ansu Elsa Varghese, wore ivory outfits for their big day. Jomon T. John himself announced the wedding via his social media accounts. Sharing the joyous pictures from the ceremony, she captioned, “My hope is home."

Congratulatory messages are pouring in from the film fraternity. Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh extended his heartfelt wishes to the newlyweds. “Congrats, Jo Anna. Love, light, and blessings forever,” Ranveer Singh penned. Jomon T. John responded, “Thank you, brother.”

Actress Krithi Shetty too extended her wishes for the newlyweds. "Congratulations, Jomon Chetta and Ammu,” she penned. Dancer Methil Devika said, “God bless your home.” Actors Basil Joseph, Noorin Shereef, Archana Kavi, Shamna Kasim, and many others extended wishes to Jomon T. John and his wife. Other industry stalwarts, including directors and actors, also joined in, expressed their joy, and sent their blessings to the happy couple.


Jomon T. John was earlier married to Kerala State Film Award-winning actress Ann Augustine. After two years of courtship, they tied the knot in 2014; however, they parted ways in 2021 after living separately for three years.

Jomon T. John, who ventured into movies in 2011 with ‘Chaappa Kurish’. He has wielded the lens for films including ‘Thattathin Marayathu’, ‘Ayalum Njanum Thammil’, ‘Thira’, ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’, and 'Charlie', among others. In 2015, Jomon T. John won the Kerala State Film Award for his films ‘Charlie’, ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’, and ‘Nee-Na’. Jomon T. John has also captured the visuals for Bollywood films including 'Ajay Devgn's 'Golmaal Again', Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba' and 'Cirkus', and Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi', among others. He has also worked in the Tamil and Telugu industries.
