‘Cup’: Tovino Thomas unveils trailer of Mathew Thomas starrer; calls it a 'perfect feel-good movie' to watch with family this Onam

With the clock ticking down to the release of ‘Cup’, starring actor Mathew Thomas in the lead, the makers have finally launched the film's official trailer.

Tovino Thomas, who is basking in the success of his film ‘ARM’, unveiled the trailer via his social media handle. The clip hints at an intriguing sports drama, where Mathew’s character is an aspiring badminton player. Actors Basil Joseph, Guru Somasundaram, Anikha Surendran, and Namitha Pramod make a brief appearance in the film.

Tovino unveiled the trailer via his social media handle and wished the team ahead of its release with a note that read, “Excited to unveil the official trailer of CUP-Love all play, the first badminton film in Malayalam that brings Basil Joseph and Guru Somasundaram back together after Minnal Murali, alongside Mathew Thomas and a stellar cast. Featuring Mathew Thomas and Basil Joseph in the lead roles, ‘Cup’ is helmed by debutant Sanju V Samuel. The film is jointly scripted by Akhilesh Latharaj and Denson Durom. Actors Guru Somasundaram, Anikha Surendran, Namitha Pramod, Karthik Vishnu, Riya Shibu, Nandini Gopalakrishnan, Mrinalini Susan George, and Anand Roshan have roped in to play some crucial roles in the film.

On the technical side the cinematography for the film is done by Nikhil S Praveen, and Reckson Joseph is the editor. The music is composed by Shaan Rahman.
