Darshana Rajendran on bagging the Kerala Film Critics Award for best actress: So grateful that I got to be part of these beautiful films

The Kerala Film Critics Awards were announced and actors Kunchacko Boban and Darshana Rajendran bagged top honours. Darshana Rajendran won the best actress award for her performances in the films ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’ and ‘Purusha Pretham’. The young actress is thrilled about the win, and in her latest social media note, she expressed her happiness.

“I think I always thought of awards as that shiny thing my sister and I watched on TV as kids. Even after all these years of being an actor, it always felt like that. Today it feels like an acknowledgment of all these years of my work… doing this beautiful thing I get to call my job,” Darshana Rajendran said in her note.

She further added, “For Jayabharathi and Susan Bobby. Thank you @vipindashb and @krishand_ and the incredible teams that I got to work with in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Purusha Pretham.
