She has showcased her singing talent in the past in movies including ‘Hridayam’, and the actress has now recorded a song for her upcoming film ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’. Darshana Rajendran took to her social media handle and posted a video from the recording studio and shared her excitement about it. “I SANG AGAINNNN! :) @jayajayajayajayahey gives me new reasons to be happy everyday. Darshana plays the role of a 22-year-old woman named Jaya Bharathi. The film is written and helmed by Vipin Das. Speaking to Kochi Times earlier, the director divulged that the film is female-centric, and the lead characters Darshana Rajendran and Basil Joseph play a couple. “This is a family movie, and it is named after Darshana’s character Jaya Bharathi, who is often referred to as Jaya. It’s the story of this Malayali, middle-class, 22-year-old girl and the things she faces and the events in her life, from the time of her birth,” he told Kochi Times.The film is set in Kollam, and the makers wrapped up the shoot in June. “This one’s going to take a while to get over. Love and only love to everyone at ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’,” Darshana Rajendran said, while wrapping up the shoot. “It's a wrap for "Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hei ". Been one hell of a joyride. Super excited about this movie 😊,” Basil Joseph wrote on his social media handle, post the pack up. ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’ is slated for release on October 21.
