Dileep's 'Meesha Madhavan' clocks 22, Kavya Madhavan shares heartfelt post

Celebrating a significant milestone in Malayalam cinema, actor Kavya Madhavan took to social media to mark 22 years since the release of 'Meesha Madhavan'.

Sharing a nostalgic poster from the superhit movie, Kavya Madhavan fondly acknowledged the milestone, tagging her co-star and husband, Dileep, in her heartfelt post. Kavya Madhavan's note read, "22 years of Meesha Madhavan'."

Directed by Lal Jose and written by Ranjan Pramod, 'Meesha Madhavan' initially faced skepticism from producers due to concerns over its script and the previous commercial disappointment of Lal Jose's 'Randaam Bhavam.' However, backed by Dileep's friends Maha Subair and Sudhish, the film overcame initial doubts to become a blockbuster.

Reflecting on the film's journey, Lal Jose once revealed that early screenings received mixed reviews, with initial criticism directed at Dileep's introduction sequences. The storyline revolves around Dileep's portrayal of a local thief falsely accused of theft, embarking on a humorous journey to clear his name.
