Director Jeo Baby vows legal action against a college, feels insulted as the authorities scrap the event he was invited to attend

Jeo Baby, the director of 'Kaathal: The Core,' expressed his dismay and intention to pursue legal action after a college abruptly canceled an event he was invited to attend. The event, scheduled to discuss the "Subtle Politics of Present-Day Malayalam Cinema," was organized by Farooq College Film Club in association with the college. However, upon his arrival in Kozhikode on December 5th, Jeo Baby was informed that the event had been canceled, citing his alleged statements against the moral values of the institution.

In a social media video addressing the incident, Jeo Baby conveyed his disappointment and confusion regarding the sudden cancellation. He revealed that, despite his inquiries, the college authorities provided no explicit reasoning for scrapping the event, leaving him feeling insulted and disrespected after traveling to attend.

Following the cancellation, Jeo Baby reached out to the college principal, seeking clarification via email and WhatsApp, but received no concrete response. Subsequently, he received a communication from the Students Union of the college, indicating that the decision to cancel the event was due to statements made by Jeo Baby that conflicted with the institution's moral values.

Expressing his discontent over the situation, Jeo Baby unveiled his intention to take legal action against the college. He highlighted the inconvenience caused by the last-minute cancellation, emphasizing the insult he felt after putting in significant effort to attend the event, only to face an unexplained cancellation.
