Director Omar Lulu responds to fake screenshots circulating online against Soubin Shahir

Netizens were quite bewildered for the past few weeks as certain derogatory posts have started appearing on the director Omar Lulu’s Facebook wall and the most recent one was a certain defamatory post against the actor Soubin Shahir. Although the post was removed within a few minutes, social media was flooded with screenshots of the same.

Now the director Omar Lulu himself has taken to his official Facebook handle to clarify the issue. The director said in his Facebook note that both he and the people who handle his Facebook page had no idea about the Facebook post against Soubin Shahir. Omar Lulu also mentioned that he suspects his account to be hacked and apologized for hurting the feelings of the actor Soubin Shahir and also of those who genuinely love the actor.

Omar Lulu’s Facebook post read, “ Dear friends. It has come to my notice that some screenshots are circulating online where I am accused of defaming the actor Soubin Shahir. I have contacted my Facebook page admins who unfortunately have no idea about the fake screenshots. I don’t know whether my account is hacked and I genuinely apologize to the actor Soubin Shahir and his loved ones for hurting their feelings.” The director also requested everyone not to spread such fake news online.

Meanwhile, a few weeks back another screenshot started circulating online claiming that Omar Lulu had posted a defamatory image of the legendary actor Mammootty via the director’s official Facebook handle. Even though netizens raised their voices against the director’s blameworthy act, a majority of them suspected that his account may be hacked. Now the director himself has come forward saying that he is unaware of him doing such deeds.

On the other hand, Omar Lulu has a highly anticipated action entertainer movie ‘Power Star’ in the pipeline. Action superstar Babu Antony will be playing the lead role in the movie which is scripted by the late veteran writer Dennis Joseph.
