For the past few days, the internet was abuzz with the news that director Vijay, who recently got legally divorced from his actress wife Amala Paul, was getting married again. It was also reported that on hearing the news, Amala, who was shooting for a movie, became upset and left the shooting spot in tears.
However, director Vijay has now come out with a statement saying that the news of his remarriage is a “fabricated rumour.” “These kinds of unchecked and unauthorised information disturbs me a lot,” he said. Stating that it was media who has supported him in his growth to become a popular director, he said that he has a moral right to ask them not to publish such rumours. “My commitment to the audience and the media is to create films of substance and I will strive hard to deliver it,” he concluded. Vijay is currently busy with his Madhavan and Sai Palalvi starrer, a Tamil remake of Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie.
