Dulquer Salmaan reminisces ‘Charlie’ as the film turns five

Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Charlie’ was released on the same day, five years ago. The film that featured Dulquer Salmaan as the titular character Charlie is one of the most loved movies of the actor. The film is directed by Martin Prakkat. Dulquer Salmaan reminisced about the film as it clocked. The actor shared that he is grateful for the love the film received. “5 years of #Charlie!!! Forever grateful for the love and appreciation you have showered on us for the film!!” the actor said, in his Facebook post.

Directed by Martin Prakat, ‘Charlie’ was released on 24 December, 2015. The film was jointly scripted by the filmmaker and popular writer Unni R. Dulquer Salmaan played the titular and Parvathy played the female lead. Jomon T. John was the cinematographer for ‘Charlie’ and Shammer Muhammed was the editor. Gopi Sundar composed the music.

The film won 8 awards at the 46th Kerala State Film Awards, including the best director, screenplay, actor, actress, cinematography, art direction, sound recordist, and processing lab/colourist.

The film was also a blockbuster and is still loved by the cinephiles.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dulquer Salmaan’s last theatrical outing in Malayalam was ‘Varane Avashyamund’.
