Dulquer Salmaan wraps up the shoot of ‘King of Kotha’

And it’s a wrap for Dulquer Salmaan’s ambitious upcoming film ‘King Of Kotha’. The makers wrapped up the shoot on Tuesday (Feb 21). The makers completed the shoot in 95 days in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.

Dulquer Salmaan dropped a video from the sets of ‘King of Kotha’ on his social media handle and said, “Finish me, if you can!” adhering to his character! And soon one can hear the makers saying ‘pack up’. “It’s a wrap �� Thank you Karaikudi. Gearing up for the final lap. Further updates very soon! ���� @AbhilashJoshiy @NimishRavi @DQsWayfarerFilm @ZeeStudios_” Dulquer Salmaan captioned.

Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, the son of veteran Malayalam filmmaker Joshiy, ‘King of Kotha’ is touted to be a gangster thriller. In an earlier interview with Kochi Times, Abhilash Joshiy said, “Dulquer was the obvious choice for me, because we grew up together and he is the person I am closest to in the industry. I pitched it to him first and he liked it and said he wanted to do it. It is a gangster film that has romance and songs and is a complete entertainment package that will appeal to youth and families.”

Scripted by Abhilash N Chandran, ‘King Of Kotha’ will hit the big screen as an Onam release in multiple languages including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Dulquer Salmaan has referred to the film as his ‘dream project’. While launching the first look poster he said, “Here’s a first look poster of a dream project with my first ever and best friend Abhilash Joshiy. We’ve known each other since diapers and grew up with our common love for cinema and cars and photography and travel. We’ve been trying to find the perfect project for his debut for the past few years. Finally, we feel we’ve locked something that excite us and hopefully you all will love.”
