Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn teamed up for the comedy-drama movie
Ishq in 1997, which featured a Malayali actress with whom the Bollywood stars paired up in the song "Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai."
The actress is none other than Mollywood star Swetha Menon, who appeared in the song "Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai" alongside Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn.
For the unversed, ‘Ishq’ marked the Bollywood debut of Shwetha Menon and the Mollywood actress received much recognition for her appearance in the song ‘Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai’. No one will be able to forget the charming actress who appeared in the song. The movie which was directed by Indra Kumar had Juhi Chawla and Kajol in the female lead roles.
During that time, Shwetha Menon was just starting her career in the Malayalam film industry later she went to modeling and participated in several beauty pageants.
Her appearance in the ‘Ishq’ song led to several projects in Hindi including the Salman Khan starrer romantic action drama movie ‘Bandhan’ which hit the big screens on 1998.
Earlier Shwetha Menon reminisced about her performance in the song ‘Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai’ as she shared a short clip of the catchy song on Instagram with a caption that read, “Celebrating 24 Evergreen Years of Superhit Movie Ishq.”
Having appeared in over 30 Bollywood films , she marked her return to the Malayalam film industry pairing with Mohanlal, Mammootty, and many other stars. Making a change from the glamorous image which she had in Bollywood, Shwetha Menon started a new phase in her career in Mollywood with impactful films such as ‘My Mother’s Laptop’, ‘Akasha Gopuram’, and Mammootty’s ‘Paleri Manikyam’. She won the Kerala State Film Best Actress award two times for her performances in the films ‘Sal N’ Pepper’, and ‘Paleri Manikyam’.
On the other hand, Shwetha Menon was last seen in the Web series ‘Nagendran’s Honeymoons’ starring Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead.
