Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Malayankunju’ gets an OTT release date

Fahadh Faasil is certainly going places with back-to-back hits and people are in awe after watching his terrific performance in the majority of his movies. Adding to the list, the recently released survival thriller ‘Malayankunju’ also gained much appreciation from the audience. Today, as Fahadh Faasil is turning a year old, the makers of ‘Malayankunju’ announced the OTT release of the movie which is scheduled for August 11.

‘Malayankunju’ will start streaming from August 11 onwards on a popular OTT platform and the film hit the big screens on July 22nd. Receiving highly positive responses from the audience, ‘Malayankunju’ turned out to be the sleeper hit for Fahadh Faasil this year.

Helmed by the debutant director Sajimon Prabhakar, ‘Malayankunju’ is a survival thriller that tells the story of an ill-tempered electronics technician named Anikkuttan who gets disturbed when his next-door neighbor’s newborn baby’s frequent cries and also brings out undesirable memories from his past.

‘Malayankunju’ was penned down by the ‘Take Off’ and ‘Malik’ director Mahesh Narayanan and the film was mounted on a large scale. Netizens lauded the making style of ‘Malayankunju’ and also hailed Fahadh Faasil’s performance as the lead character Anikkuttan. AR Rahman composed the music for Fahadh Faasil’s survival thriller.

Apart from Fahadh Faasil, ‘Malayankunju’ also featured the actors Rajisha Vijayan, Johny Antony, Indrans, Arjun Ashokan, Jaffer Idukki, Deepak Parambol and Irshad in significant roles.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran's action entertainer 'Kaduva' also hit the mini screens recently and the film is getting good responses from the audience.
