K.G Rajasekharan
has passed away at age, 72. According to the sources, the
filmmaker
took his last breath this morning in Chennai.
K.G Rajasekharan made his entry to the Malayalam film industry assisting director Crossbelt Mani for his 1968 movie, 'Midumidukki.' He has also assisted prominent filmmakers like M. Krishnan Nair and Thikkurissi.
After 10 years he made his independent film, '
Padmatheertham
' and has since then directed film like '

Indradhanussu

Yakshippaaru
', 'Vaaleduthavan Vaalaal', 'Vijayam Nammude Senaani', 'Thirayum Theeravum', 'Ival Ee Vazhi Ithu Vare', 'Anthappuram', 'Avan Oru Ahankaari', 'Saahasam', 'Paanchajanyam', 'Maattuvin Chattangale', 'Chambalkaadu', 'Beedikkunjamma', 'Shaari Alla Shaarada', 'Mynaakam', 'Chillukottaram', 'Thozhil Allengil Jail' and 'Simhadhwani', among others. The director was active in the industry until 1992.
He is survived by his wife, yesteryears playback singer Ambili.
