Filmmaker Vinayan: I am planning for a mass entertainer with Mohanlal

Vinayan has worked with most of the A-listers in M-Town including

but the popular filmmaker hasn’t directed Mohanlal yet. However, the wish of the director will be completed soon as the duo are planning to collaborate for an upcoming film. Prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Vinayan had announced that he will be doing a movie with Mohanlal and in an exclusive conversation with

, the filmmaker spilled beans about the much-anticipated collaboration!

“Mohanlal has agreed to do a movie with me. And he has asked me to work on a story in my style that is also exciting for him. Rather than making a small movie for the sake of it, I want to make a huge film with Lal (Mohanlal). I am planning for a mass entertainer with him. So when we met, we had agreed to do our film after ‘Barroz’. The story is yet to be finalized. Although I was working on ‘

Pathonpatham Noottandu

The filmmaker also expressed that he is in no rush as he wants to make the Mohanlal movie as one that will leave an everlasting impression on the audience. The Vinayan-Mohanlal movie might have gone on the floors by the end of this year, if not for the pandemic, but it seems like the filmmaker has big plans for the upcoming film. “I have two plots in mind, and will be working on them. As the pandemic has hit, Lal is also shooting for small projects, which is feasible during this time. So, I am making use of the time for our film. I am doing the preparations. My movie with Mohanlal should be bigger than ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’,” he summed up.
