‘Gaganachari’ box office collections day 27: Gokul Suresh’s sci-fi comedy earns Rs 2.34 crore worldwide

Gokul Suresh's latest venture, the science fiction comedy film ‘Gaganachari,’ is experiencing a gradual decline in its box office performance.

According to the Sacnilk website, the movie has managed to earn only Rs 1 lakh on its 27th day. The total worldwide collection for the film over 27 days stands at Rs 2.34 crores, while the India Net collections are Rs 2.05 crore.

‘Gaganachari’ (translated as ‘Celestial Traveller’) is a science fiction comedy mockumentary set in a dystopian version of Kerala in the 2040s. The film, directed by a debutant, offers a humorous take on the future with a plot that revolves around three problematic bachelors who encounter a mysterious female alien. The cast features Gokul Suresh, Anarkali Marikar, Aju Varghese, and K. B. Ganesh Kumar, who brings life to this quirky narrative.

The story is set in 2043 Kerala, where societal norms have drastically shifted. The comedic chaos ensues when an extraterrestrial female fugitive seeks refuge in an apartment inhabited by three troublesome bachelors. The film explores themes of friendship, societal issues, and the absurdity of future technology, all wrapped in a comedic package.

Despite its unique storyline and a talented cast, ‘Gaganachari’ has struggled to maintain a strong foothold at the box office.
