‘GOAT’ Kerala pre-sales: Vijay starrer crosses Rs 3 crores

The excitement surrounding Vijay's latest action thriller, ‘GOAT’, is reaching fever pitch, with anticipation running high not just in Tamil Nadu, but also in Kerala, where Vijay enjoys a massive fan base. The pre-sales figures for the film in Kerala have now surpassed the Rs 3 crore mark, cementing its status as one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

According to recent reports, ‘GOAT’ has raked in Rs 3.26 crore from pre-sales across 2,162 shows in Kerala alone. The film has achieved an occupancy rate of 34.63%, with over 2 lakh tickets already sold, showcasing the immense excitement among fans in the ‘God’s Own Country’. This strong start in Kerala is a promising sign for what is expected to be a record-breaking run opening at KBO.


‘GOAT’, directed by Venkat Prabhu, follows the story of Gandhi, a former leader of a special anti-terrorist squad, who must reunite with his old team to tackle the consequences of their past actions. Vijay takes on dual roles in the film, portraying both Gandhi and Jeevan, with Akhil stepping in as the childhood version of Jeevan. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Laila, Sneha, Ajmal, and Yogi Babu, adding to the film's widespread appeal.

Officially announced in May 2023 as Thalapathy 68, the film was later titled ‘GOAT’ in December, generating significant buzz among fans. With early morning shows scheduled for its release, GOAT is eyeing a Rs 100 crore opening, aiming to become the biggest Tamil release of 2024.
