, Illayaraja and Sayanavarthakal – and will be seen in a cameo in Pranav Mohanlal’s Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu, he has now allotted six months for an upcoming movie that will be directed by Sanjith Chandrasenan.

The yet-to-be-titled film will have the actor undergoing a physical transformation. “The movie is a psycho thriller and the plot revolves around a few incidents that happen to the family of the character played by Gokul,” says Sanjith. “The movie will have a suspenseful mood throughout and it also has four big action scenes.”

Gokul will be seen in two avatars in the movie, explains the director. “He will be sporting a six-pack in one of them and will be training for six months with Shyjan Augustine, who also works with Tovino Thomas and Unni Mukundan," he says.

The director of the film, which is produced by Jithu S Nair and Vishnu S Nair under the banner of J&V Productions, also plans to rope in action choreographer Kecha Khampakdee for the movie and is also in talks with stars such as Bharath and Samuthirakani.

The team will start shooting for the movie in April this year. “Gokul will start training from February and his character’s physique after two months of training will be used in the first schedule. The second schedule will be Sri Lanka and those portions will have in the six-pack look,” says the debutant director.

The movie is scripted by Deepu and Sandeep, who had penned Dhyan Sreenivasan’s Ore Mugham, and will also have
