, which the actor wrote and directed, has fun humour you can keep coming back to. Showcasing her best comic timing as an actor and showing astute skill as a writer and director, Grace Antony plays a poet-singer named Sindhu, who seems to be oblivious about her lack of talent, but makes up for it with her enthusiasm.

The premise of the one-woman show is simple. Sindhu, who claims to be a poet, novelist and singer, has been persuaded by her husband to go “live” on social media so that others too can appreciate her singing talent and give her feedback. So the one take short film is funny from the get go.

She then proceeds to present a poem from her book of life experiences, and then sings a song in Tamil, which she admits isn’t a good rendering, because “the pitch in Tamil songs is too high”. And when people tell her point-blank in the interactive session to stop singing and leave, she dismisses it as a friendly joke. Grace Antony, for whom this is the second directorial and writing venture - her first was a short titled K-nowledge- seems to have become more confident at the helm. The over 8-minute film is pithy, dramatic and is easy to watch, and the actor gives the situation context and manages to flesh out the character.

Her film has won great appreciation from celebs and other audiences, with fellow actors Niranjana Anoop, Aditi Ravi and Rachana Narayanankutty responding with laughing emojis.
