Guru Somasundaram roped in for the campus thriller ‘Haya’

Actor Guru Somasundaram is certainly going places by playing major roles in several highly anticipated projects including Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’. Now the actor is roped in to play a major role in the upcoming film ‘Haya’ which is helmed by the renowned director Vasudev Sanal who directed the superhit romantic drama film ‘Priyam’ starring Kunchacko Boban in the lead.

Recently the makers unveiled the title poster for the film that comes with the tagline ‘Love with vanity. Love with modesty’. The tagline posits that the film ‘Haya’ will be a romantic thriller and the script of the film is penned down by the debutant writer Manoj Bharathy who is also a senior journalist. As per the reports, the film will start rolling from April 2nd onwards in Mysore.

is roped in as the music director for the film. The editing section of the film will be handled by Arun Thomas whereas the art department will be managed by Sabu Ram.

Apart from Guru Somasundaram, ‘Haya’ also features the actors Johny Antony, Kottayam Ramesh, Sreekanth Murali, Sreedhanya, Biju Pappan, and Sreeraj.

After the superhit romantic film ‘Priyam’ which was released in the year 2000, the director Vasudev Sanal has also directed the films ‘Players’ and ‘God’s Own Country’. It's after a long gap that Vasudev Sanal is donning the director’s cap for his next film with Guru Somasundaram.

Meanwhile, the ‘Minnal Murali’ fame Guru Somasundaram has a list of highly ambitious projects in the pipeline that includes ‘Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama;s Treasure’, ‘Charles Enterprises’, ‘Kapp’, and the upcoming Kamal Hassan starrer Tamil film ‘Vikram’.
