‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ box office collection day 1: Prithviraj Sukumaran-Basil Joseph starrer earns Rs 3.8 crore on its opening day

Vipin Das’ directorial ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles hit the silver screen on Thursday, May 16. The film which centers around a wedding happening at Guruvayoor Temple, Thrissur, opened in packed theatres across the state. Early indications suggest that ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ has struck a chord with audiences.

The initial box office figures reflect a promising start for the film, indicating a strong performance on its opening day. According to preliminary estimates,‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ amassed approximately Rs 3.80 crore in net collections on its debut day, as per a report by Sacnilk.

The film had a substantial Malayalam occupancy rate of 42.20% on its opening day. The morning shows recorded 32.35% occupancy, while the afternoon, evening, and night shows contributed 31.07%, 49.06%, and 56.32% respectively on the first day.

Looking at the early figures, the bookings on the second day, May 17 too is promising.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s collaboration with with the ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’ duo Vipin Das and Basil Joseph, has emerged as a successful venture. The movie buffs have confirmed that ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ is a fun family entertainer.
