South actress Pragya Nagra is in the news after private, unverified videos of hers were allegedly leaked online. The videos have now gone viral.

According to a report in Odisha TV, the videos are doing the rounds on the internet. However, they have raised questions about whether the person in them is really the actress, and their authenticity remains unconfirmed. Pragya Nagra has not yet commented on the situation.

Pragya is a South Indian actress from a Punjabi family in Haryana. She started her acting career with roles in Tamil films.



Pragya Nagra, who completed her education in Delhi, began her career in modelling before moving to Chennai to pursue acting. In 2022, she made her film debut in Varalaru Mukkiyam, playing a Malayalee girl opposite Jiiva.

Despite Varalaru Mukkiyam receiving negative reviews, Pragya Nagra was soon cast in Malayalam and Telugu films. In 2023, she played the lead role in the Malayalam comedy-drama Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna, starring alongside Dhyan Sreenivasan and Aju Varghese.

Her debut in Malayalam cinema received mixed reviews but was considered a commercial success. She soon made her debut in Telugu cinema with the film Laggam.

Laggam, starring Sai Ronak in the lead, is an emotional drama directed by Ramesh Cheppala. The film explores the traditional values of Telangana marriage culture and follows the emotional journey of the characters as they navigate these challenges.

In addition to Sai Ronak and Pragya Nagra in the lead roles, Laggam also features Rajendra Prasad, Rohini, Vadlamani Srinivas, Raghu Babu, LB Sriram, Saptagiri, and several other actors in important roles.

Throughout her career, the actress has gained recognition for portraying diverse roles in various South Indian films. It remains to be seen whether the leaked visuals are truly of her or not.

Meanwhile, the actress has reacted to the issue with a Twitter post that read, "Still in denial, and still hoping that it’s just a bad dream that I will wake up from. Technology was meant to help us and not make our lives miserable. Can just pity the evil minds who misuse it to create such AI content and the people who help spread it! Trying to stay strong through all of this, and grateful to all the people who are there for me in these moments. I hope and pray that no other woman has to go through such an ordeal, and that all of you stay safe!"

On the work front, Pragya was last seen in the film 'Laggam'. She also played the female lead in the Dhyan Sreenivasan starrer 'Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna'.
