Posting on her Instagram Stories, the actress shared a heartfelt message for her close friend and 'Lokah' producer. “Dearest D, Every year, I send you a long message that stays off social media,” she began, “but today, as we share a little glimpse of our dreams with the world, I wanted to wish you a year full of every dream of yours coming true, both in and outside of cinema.”


Kalyani didn’t hold back on expressing how much Dulquer’s presence in her life has meant to her. “Thank you for being my first call for advice over the past five years. I don't know where I'd be without you, and I know that I'm not alone in feeling that way,” she wrote, closing the note with a simple and sincere, “Happy birthday.”

The reason Kalyani chose this moment to speak publicly also connects directly to their professional bond. ‘Lokah – Chapter 1 – Chandra’, the latest production from Dulquer’s production house, has just unveiled its teaser, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Directed by Dominic Arun, the teaser opens with Naslen, wandering through an eerie, post-apocalyptic space. The setting is quiet yet unnerving—until action explodes.

Chandra enters the frame

But the real jolt comes with Kalyani’s entrance as Chandra. She appears powerful yet contemplative, hinting at a character with a bigger purpose in a chaotic universe. Her presence is commanding, and the teaser gives just enough to keep audiences on edge.

The final shot—a graffiti on the wall that reads, “She is coming”—leaves behind more questions than answers. Is Chandra the hero the world needs, or is a larger threat looming?
