The organisation also addressed the criticism it has been receiving for the silence on the Hema committee report, “We are aware of the criticism against the silence we maintained in the issue. We do not want to issue empty, fancy statements but recommend strong action and policies that will bring about a huge change within the industry.”

FEFKA also batted for the names of the accused to be made public, and stated that they won’t ‘tolerate anyone who is found guilty of the crimes’. “The names of the accused in the Hema Commission report should be made public. We will not tolerate anyone who is found guilty of the crimes they have been accused of,” FEFKA said in their statement.

The organisation also confirmed that they will come out with an analysis of the findings of the Hema Committee report. An executive committee meeting will be held in Kochi from September 2 to 4, with participation from General Secretary B. Unnikrishnan and steering committee members to discuss the report. “We are also taking opinions of the women members prior to publishing the analysis report,” the said in the statement.FEFKA also announced that a core committee of women members will offer support to survivors of sexual assault, assisting them with legal proceedings and providing access to clinical psychologists for additional aid. “The analysis of the report will be submitted to the government and will also be made available to the general public. Recognising that FEFKA's responsibility does not end with this, an action plan will be released to address the critical issues related to women's safety pointed out in the Hema Committee report,” FEFKA said.

FEFKA also stated that the dissolution of the executive committee of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) is a ‘revolutionary’ modernization process for the organization.
