Highly-anticipated upcoming films of Prithviraj Sukumaran in 2023

Prithviraj Sukumaran has reigned in 2022 with his back-to-back releases, and blockbusters including ‘Bro Daddy’, ‘Jana Gana Mana’, ‘Kaduva’, and ‘Kaapa’. There is no stopping for the star in 2023 too, as he is part of some of the big-ticket releases of the year, across languages. As we have stepped into 2023, let’s take a look at his most awaited upcoming films of the year.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Aadujeevitham’ have been under production for over three years now. The film is helmed by maverick filmmaker Blessy and is a survival drama based on Benyamin’s acclaimed novel ‘Aadujeevitham’. From undergoing a massive transformation by losing about 24 kgs to fit into the character to filming in extreme weather conditions, Prithviraj Sukumaran has invested a lot of his time and effort into the project.

Prithviraj Sukumaran has collaborated with Prabhas for ‘Salaar’. The massive Telugu-language action thriller is being helmed by Prashanth Neel, who has delivered the KGF franchise. Prithviraj Sukumaran has roped in to play Vardharaja Mannaar in ‘Salaar’, and the character poster launched by the makers earlier, features the star in a fiery avatar. ‘Salaar’ will surely storm the box-office when it releases.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who made his Bollywood debut opposite Rani Mukerji in the comedy entertainer Aiyyaa in 2012, has signed his fourth Hindi film. The star is essayed the antagonist named Kabir in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, which has Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles. The upcoming film is helmed by ace director Ali Abbas Zafar. Prithviraj’s previous Bollywood releases were ‘Aurangzeb (2012)’ and ‘Naam Shabana (2017)’, and the star is returning to Hindi cinema after a gap of six years, and the excitement level is up high.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal are reuniting for ‘L2: Empuraan’, which is the sequel to their 2019 blockbuster ‘Lucifer’. Mount on a massive budget, the film is scripted by Murali Gopy, and the team had previously confirmed that the pre-production works are progressing. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial is expected to go on floors this year.

Prithviraj Sukumaran is also a producer, and his home banner has delivered many superhits. And this year, the star is foraying into B-Town as a producer. He is making his production debut in Bollywood with the upcoming comedy-drama ‘Selfiee’. Starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles, the film is a remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran's blockbuster ‘Driving Licence’ released in 2019.
