, the lead of 'Alaipayuthey' and later interacted with the audience. In between, Mani Ratnam revealed that he is a fan of Mollywood filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery! Yes, you read it right! The world is falling for Mani Ratnam movies and he is a huge admirer of Mollywood’s own Lijo Jose Pellissery!

During the live interaction, Suhasini found Lijo tracking their live session and she said, “Your favorite director is watching. Lijo Jose Pellissery is watching.”

She further added, “Mani is talking so much about your films. I've seen only one film of yours.”

Later the maestro filmmaker himself spoke about Lijo Jose Pellissery. Mani Ratnam revealed that he is a huge fan of Lijo Jose Pellissery’s movies. “Lijo, I am a big fan of yours. I think you are probably one of the best directors going today. Congrats, keep it up,” Mani Ratnam said.

Suhasini went on to count the popular movies of Lijo Jose Pellissery like ‘Jallikkattu’ and ‘Ee. Ma. Yau’ and Mani Ratnam added ‘Angamali Diaries’ and ‘Amen’, which clearly proves that he is closely observing Lijo’s works!

In the live interaction, Mani Ratnam also picked up several questions from the audience’s side. He opened up about his views on OTT platforms and also spoke about his upcoming movie ‘Ponniyan Selvan’.
