’s director Ranjan Pramod talks about winning the Kerala State Award


How do you feel after the State Award win?
I am elated that the film Rakshadhikari Biju has won the award. The fact that the film has received such a recognition has made it an all the more pleasant news.

How challenging was it to make the film?
The film was a blend of new and established actors, and we had focused on the three layers of shot composition, which includes foreground, middleground and background. The making part was a challenge, as it encompassed sync sound technique, which means the sound recorded at the time of filming movies. As the camera’s focus shifted 360 degrees, there was full of activity.

I am happy that the film got three awards- Best Popular Film, Best Child Actor for Nakshatra Mohan and Best Location Sound Recording.
