I am enjoying the journey post comeback, says Navya Nair

Navya Nair is excited about her second innings in acting. In Janaki Jaane, her second movie after her comeback, she is playing the titular role of Janaki.



Navya says, "Janaki has had a traumatic experience in the past and has lingering fears in her. She is also very self-aware about her trauma and it's effects on her daily life and marriage. It's a humorous movie."



Navya says her comeback is going better than she expected. "I am enjoying the journey after my comeback. I was recieved very well by the audience and it went beyond my expectations. I am hearing a lot of stories now but I am also very selective about what I pick," she says.



She is also very much on board with the changes in the industry over the years. "Janaki Jaane was a fun shoot. There were more women on set and I absolutely loved that. The caravan system is better now. Earlier, it was only for lead actors but now that's not the case and it's helpful to have a safe and hygienic shoot," she says.



She also talks about how social media has changed fan culture. " I do focus on social media for my profession. Earlier I would interact with fans, in the pre social media era through letters and autographs. Now, people want selfies and even when we are sick and in hospital and they request selfies. It's manageable mostly but sometimes, it can get out of hand. Especially, when Innocent uncle passed away and we went there, there were demands for selfies; that was upsetting. Sometimes, we cannot deny people when they ask, but it would be great if they can recognise the situation and act accordingly."
