‘I am Kathalan’ box office collections day 2: Naslen’s film mints Rs 1.43 crores

The superhit comedy film ‘Premalu’s director Girish AD has this time thrilled the audiences with ‘I am Kathalan’, a movie based on ethical hacking. Latest reports say that the film has minted more than Rs 1 crores from India in 2 days.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘I am Kathalan’ has grossed Rs 1.43 crores from India in 2 days and the worldwide collections figures for the movie stand at Rs 95 lakhs, which is quite impressive although it’s not upto the mark set by the director’s previous film ‘Premalu’.


The India Gross collections for ‘I am Kathalan’ in two days stand at Rs 95 lakhs. On day 1 the film has minted Rs 80 lakhs from KBO and on day 2 it has collected Rs 63 lakhs, indicating a gradual decline.


Directed by Girish AD, ‘I am Kathalan’ is an intriguing thriller movie that revolves around the theme of ethical hacking. It would be the first time the ‘Thaneermathan Dinangal’ director is taking up such a serious subject.


‘I am Kathalan’s script is penned by Sajin Cherukayil and the cinematography is by Sharan Velayudhan. The editing section is handled by Akash Joseph Varghese and the music is composed by Sidhartha Pradeep. ‘I am Kathalan’ marks the fourth directorial of Girish AD and is currently receiving good reviews from the audiences.


On the other hand, Girish AD’s previous outing ‘Premalu’ was an all-time blockbuster film that even raked in good numbers from Telugu markets. The movie featured the actors Mamitha Baiju and Naslen in the lead roles.
