Mollywood actor
Aju Varghese is having a terrific script selection for the past few years and his recent success with 'Sarvam Maya' is another example. Interestingly, in a recent interview he openly spoke about his habit of falling asleep while listening to film stories.
“To be honest I fall asleep while listening to stories. When someone narrates a script I often end up dozing off. I am the person who fell asleep while listening to the story of 'Vellimoonga'. Do we need a bigger example than that?” Aju Varghese said in an interview with The Editorial.
Why story narrations are hard for him
Aju Varghese also explained why listening to full story narrations becomes difficult for him. He said, “If it is a situation where there is back-and-forth conversation there is no problem. But when someone is narrating a story I can’t interrupt in between and ask them personal questions.”
He added that he has tried many times to listen carefully. “I have tried to listen to stories many times. In the end I feel it will look like I am insulting them. So I end up agreeing to do the film,” he said.
A simple rule Aju follows now
Because of this Aju Varghese has changed the way he listens to stories now. He said, “Now, I only ask them to tell me what my role is.” This simple rule helps him understand whether he fits into the film or not without any confusion.
In another interview Aju Varghese shared that he was approached by the makers of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s 'Oru Jaathi Jaathakam' to play a major role. He revealed that he agreed to do the film without even reading the script. The reason was simple. He trusted the director who had earlier made 'Aravindante Athidhikal'.
Busy with films and strong trust in directors
Aju Varghese is currently seen in an important role in Nivin Pauly’s film 'Sarvam Maya'. The combination scenes of Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese are getting loud applause from the audience. The film is doing very well and has already crossed Rs 100 crore at the global box office.
