‘Identity’ box office collections day 5: Tovino’s thriller holds strong; mints more than Rs 11 crores

Tovino Thomas and Trisha recently teamed up for the thriller film ‘Identity’ which is getting good reviews from the audiences. The movie has now crossed Rs 11 crores worldwide in just 5 days.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Identity’ has collected Rs 11.5 crores worldwide in 5 days . The India Net collection stands at Rs 6.87 crores and the India Gross collection stands at Rs 7.5 crores.

‘Identity’ has minted good numbers from abroad as the 5 days overseas collections stand at Rs 4 crores.

The Malayalam net box office collections for this investigative thriller are Rs 6.02 crores and on day 5 the movie has collected Rs 42 lakhs as per the early estimates by the website. The movie opened with Rs 1.65 crore which was followed by Rs 1.1 crore, Rs 1.4 crore, Rs 1.45 crore, and Rs 42 lakhs on days 2,3,4, and 5.

Due to Trisha’s presence, ‘Identity’ has got much traction from Tamil audiences. The Tamil net box office collections for this Anas Khan - Akhil Paul’s directorial stand at Rs 85 lakhs and on day 4 the movie had collected Rs 25 lakhs as per the early estimates.

ETimes gave ‘Identity’ a rating of 2.5 out of 5 and our review reads, “A pat on the back for stunt director Yannick Ben, whose earlier credits include Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and OTT series The Family Man, for the climax action sequence on a flight, that is noteworthy with a woman as one of the contract fighters. She carries it off amazingly well and it is refreshing and a relief that at no point is her gender used for comedic value; an equal-opportunities fight.”
