I'm inspired by Malayalam: Parthepan

This is not the first time that Kollywood actor Parthepan is testing waters in Mollywood. Though, this time, the actor will be seen in a period flick, Dr Mahesh Kidangil's Veerakkal Daivangal, where he plays Rama Paiyar.
'It is also a thriller; there is lot of scope for performance,' he says. Though Parthepan debuted in Malayalam in Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001, he did his next, Melvilasam, after 10 years.However, the actor says Malayalam films hold a special place in his heart.
'Malayalam films have been my biggest inspiration,' says the national award-winning actor, whose favourite Malayalam films are Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare and Chemmeen.
Meanwhile, Parthepan is gearing up to do the remake of his Tamil film Puthiya Pathai, released 22 years ago, Interestingly, the actor will play the lead in the remake as well.
