Following critical acclaim during its digital release on July 6, 2021, the much-applauded Mollywood film 'Velukkakka Oppu Ka,' headlined by Indrans, is primed for its cinematic premiere on November 17, promising a poignant portrayal of familial dynamics and emotional turmoil.
In a recent announcement by the makers, a new poster featuring Indrans in the role of a farmer, adorned in farming attire amid a field, accompanies the news of the film's theatrical release. Directed by Ashok R. Kalitha, the movie marks the directorial debut, offering a narrative that strikes a chord with familial sentiments.

The storyline revolves around Velukkakka, portrayed by Indrans, who becomes a subject of ridicule in his village due to his name, likened to "kakka," Malayalam for crow. Enduring the villagers' taunts, Velukkakka remains steady on his will, but the ridicule deeply scars his son, Harish, dubbed "son of a crow." Young Harish blames his father for the humiliation, creating a sort of resentment towards him. To shield Harish from further embarrassment, Velukkakka and his wife opt to send their son to the city for education. The story further progresses with a brilliant execution of family conflicts.
The film's narrative beautifully unfolds the emotional conflicts faced by parents when their children distance themselves, navigating themes of generational conflict, societal judgment, and familial bonds. Indrans' compelling portrayal coupled with the touching premise has garnered attention and acclaim from critics.
