It’s official: Rima and Aashiq are a pair

After months of speculation and endless rumours, director Aashiq Abu has finally admitted on a social networking site that he and actress Rima Kallingal are in love.
“The hoax about my marriage with Rima was quite entertaining but false. We love each other and will definitely let the world know when we go for a wedlock,” went the director’s post on Saturday evening. He also added that he was out of the country for a few days and so could not respond to the rumours earlier.
The trigger for the update was undoubtedly the news that was published in a Malayalam daily that Aashiq and Rima had got married in a secret ceremony. The two have been spotted together at various events but had maintained that they were just good friends. However, there have been rumours that they were living together. Rima had reportedly said in an interview that she was in love with a businessman.
The two got close during the shoot of22 Female Kottayam, which was indeed a turning point in Rima’s acting career with her role in the movie fetching her several awards, including this year’s state award. Well, here's another star couple in the making.
