'Jailer' actor Vinayakan reacts to viral video of obscene behavior

Malayalam actor Vinayakan, known for his role in the film 'Jailer,' has recently found himself in controversy after a video of him behaving indecently while intoxicated went viral. In the clip, Vinayakan is seen shouting abuses from his balcony while wearing only a mundu. The situation escalated as he appeared to remove his clothes and eventually fell to the floor, only to sit up again and continue causing a scene.

Following the backlash from netizens, Vinayakan issued an apology, acknowledging his inappropriate behavior and expressing deep regret. He admitted to struggling with personal issues and promised to make an effort to improve his conduct in public. In a message on social media, he stated that he understands the negative energy his actions have caused and apologized for it.

He wrote, "സിനിമ നടൻ എന്ന നിലയിലും വ്യക്തി എന്ന നിലയിലും പല വിഷയങ്ങളും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യാൻ എനിക്ക് പറ്റുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നുണ്ടായ എല്ലാ നെഗറ്റീവ് എനർജികൾക്കും
പൊതുസമൂഹത്തോടും മാപ്പ് ചോദിക്കുന്നു. ചർച്ചകൾ തുടരട്ടെ..." which loosely translates to, "As a film actor and as a person, to deal with many subjects I can't. From my side, for all negative energies, to the general public, I apologize. Let the discussion continue..."

Vinayakan has a history of public disturbances. Last year, he was arrested for creating a ruckus at a police station in Kochi. Additionally, during a trip from Goa to Kochi, he was detained at Hyderabad airport for being intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Despite being released on bail, he continued to challenge authorities regarding his behavior, insisting he had done nothing wrong.
