‘Jana Gana Mana’ Box Office Collection Day 3: Prithviraj starrer collects Rs. 5.5 crores

Prithviraj Sukumaran - Dijo Jose Antony’s ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is clearly the definition of the word ‘Pan-Indian’, and the film clearly proves that it's not budget or extreme level marketing that makes a film ‘Pan -Indian’, it's the content that is relatable to all the audience irrespective of language or even cultural barriers, that makes a film proudly hold the term. ‘Jana Gana Mana’ has indeed opened to a wide positive response from the audience and is slowly creating a success story at the Kerala box office as the film has reportedly crossed 5.15 crores from all over Kerala. The film was released on April 28.

As per the Twitter box office tracking forums, ‘Jana Gana Mana’ has a net of 4.25 crores and a share of 2.49 crores, making the overall gross over 5.5 crores. Although these records haven't been officially announced by the makers, the mouth publicity for the film has indeed led to a huge booking on theatre centers outside Kerala too. There is also a positive card ahead as the numbers are said to increase on a good Sunday.

‘Jana Gana Mana’ is a sure winner considering how well the makers have executed a ‘Pan-Indian’ level content with some terrific performances of the leads that include Prithviraj Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Vincy Aloshious.

Helmed by the ‘Queen’ fame Dijo Jose Antony, the film has the gifted writing of Sharis Mohammed and the cinematography is helmed by Sudeep Elamon. Sreejith Sarang took care of the cuts in the film, whereas the music was composed by Jakes Bejoy.

‘Jana Gana Mana’ has a casting coup of sorts. The film also features actors Mamta Mohandas, GM Sundar, Shammi Thilakan, Dhruvan, Shari, Vaishnavi Venugopal, Harikrishnan, and Vinod Sagar in pivotal roles.
