Joju George has kickstarted the promotions for his directorial debut film 'Pani'. Making an appearance on a recent episode of 'Bigg Boss Malayalam 6', Joju was accompanied by his co-stars Abhinaya, Sagar, and Junaiz, where they unveiled the first look poster of the movie.
During an engaging interaction with the contestants, Joju took the opportunity to introduce his leading lady, Abhinaya. He expressed admiration for her acting prowess despite facing hearing and speech difficulties. Joju shared his initial concerns about casting Abhinaya for the role but was pleasantly surprised by her talent and dedication.
"When I first saw her, I was convinced she was perfect for the role. However, I was concerned about how she would manage her challenges while acting. I consulted with a former film director who assured me that she would perform if provided with English dialogues. She completely surprised me. During our scenes together, I would indicate 'number 1' after delivering my dialogue, and she would enact it flawlessly. My next worry was about her dancing abilities, but she once again impressed me with one of her dance sequences," he remarked.
In the episode, Abhinaya entered the Bigg Boss house accompanied by her interpreter. Despite having already starred in 57 movies across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, Abhinaya expressed her excitement to collaborate with Joju in 'Pani'.
"The requirements in Tamil and Telugu movies demand more expressiveness. However, it's different here. During takes, Joju would advise me to be subtle with my expressions, as natural acting is preferred in this industry," the actress conveyed.
'Pani', Joju George's directorial debut, is eagerly anticipated by fans and cinephiles alike. The film is expected to hit the screens soon, promising a compelling narrative and standout performances from the talented cast.
