? Rumours are rife that the actress has now been roped in for the remake of yet another movie that starred the Malayalam actress.
Reports suggested that Jyothika will play the lead in a film titled
Rajini Selvi
, which is the Tamil remake of Manju’s
Mohanlal and has the actress essaying a Rajinikanth fan. The buzz originated after the scriptwriter of Mohanlal, Suneesh Waranad, posted on his social media page that they had approached the actress for the movie.
The post was removed soon after. When we contacted Mohanlal’s director, Sajid Yahiya, he told us, “The news is not true. We had plans of approaching Jyothika for the preview of the movie. Apart from that, there has been no discussions regarding this with the actress.” Mohanlal had Manju Warrier playing a die-hard Mohanlal fan.
