‘Kaathal - The Core’ pre-sales triumph: Mammootty's film generates Rs 15.81 lakhs

Mammootty joins forces with director Jeo Baby in the highly anticipated drama 'Kaathal - The Core,' marking their first collaboration. With its release on November 23, the film, despite a modest budget, has shown substantial promise, collecting an impressive pre-sales figure of Rs 15.81 lakhs.

Reports reveal that the film has garnered significant traction, with a tracked count of 535 shows, totaling 9979 admissions, resulting in the noteworthy pre-sales gross of Rs 15.81 Lakhs in Kerala.


Rumors surrounding Mammootty's role in portraying a homosexual character in the film have piqued considerable interest among audiences. The film's trailers and teasers have received acclaim from both fans and critics alike, hinting at a narrative centered on Mammootty's character, a retired bank employee venturing into local Panchayat elections, alongside Jyotika as his spouse.

Directed by Jeo Baby, 'Kaathal – The Core' is an emotional drama scripted by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria. The movie features soulful compositions by Mathews Pulickan, captivating cinematography by Salu K. Thomas, and precise editing by Francies Louis.

The cast includes an ensemble of talented actors, including Joji John, Jisshu Sengupta, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikode, and more, alongside the stellar performances of Mammootty and Jyothika.
