Kalidas Jayaram begins filming for ‘Many Many Happy Returns’

Kalidas Jayaram has joined the sets of his next film ‘Many Many Happy Returns’. Directed by Ahammed Khabeer, the film went on floors today, January 22. The makers announced the film on January 1, with a motion poster, and have commenced the shoot now. The film is expected to be a light-hearted entertainer.

‘Many Many Happy Returns’ is helmed by Ahammed Khabeer, who is best known for his successful web series ‘Kerala Crime Files 2’. The upcoming Malayalam film features Kalidas Jayaram in the lead. On Thursday, the makers kickstarted the production with a puja ceremony. Kalidas Jayaram was present at the puja. The young actor also posted a picture on Instagram, wherein he can be seen standing next to the director holding a clapboard.

Kalidas Jayaram has been focusing majorly on Tamil movies for the last couple of years. ‘Many Many Happy Returns’ will mark his return to Malayalam cinema after a break. The actor is also awaiting the release of his Malayalam film ‘Ashakal Aayiram’ with his father Jayaram.

‘Many Many Happy Returns’ was launched on January 1. The director is co-writing the screenplay and dialogues with Jobin John Varghese. Govind Vasantha is composing music for the film. Jithin Stanislaus is the cinematographer, and Mahesh Bhuvanend is in charge of editing.

All about ‘Ashakal Aayiram’

Versatile actor Jayaram and son Kalidas are reuniting for the upcoming film ‘Ashakal Aayiram’. The film is directed by G Prajith, best known for his previous directorials, Nivin Pauly starrer ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’, and Biju Menon starrer ‘Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo’. The makers dropped a promo video earlier this month. It featured Jayaram and Kalidas playing a drunk father and son returning home, and pretending to be sober. The film also has Asha Sharath, Sharafudheen, Ishani Krishna, Anand Manmadhan, Akhil NRD, Ramesh Pisharody, and Dileep Menon in pivotal roles.
