Kalidas Jayaram is teaming up with his dad Jayaram for the upcoming film ‘Ashakal Aayiram’. The makers of the film recently dropped the first glimpse, and it won the hearts of the audience for all the right reasons. The hilarious teaser featured a drunk father-son duo pretending to be sober as they arrive home. Kalidas Jayaram has now penned a heartfelt note for the warm reception.

‘Ashakal Aayiram’ is helmed by G Prajith, who had previously directed Nivin Pauly’s film ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’, and Biju Menon starrer ‘Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo’. Aravind Rajendran and Jude Anthany Joseph have jointly crafted the script.


‘Ashakal Aayiram’ marks Jayaram and Kalidas’ reunion in Malayalam, 22 years after the release of their celebrated film ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’. Starring Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram, the film also has Asha Sharath, Sharafudheen, and Ishani Krishna in pivotal roles. Anand Manmadhan, Akhil NRD, Ramesh Pisharody, Dileep Menon, Zhins Shan, Rajesh Azhikode, Vaishakh Vijayan, Abhinand Accode, Mukundan, Anand Padmanabhan, Renjith Balachandran, Sudheer Paravur, Niharika, Bhagya, Kunchan, Shaiju Sreedhar, Raffi, Suresh Kumar, and Surya Balasubramanian are also part of the cast.
