Kamal Haasan appreciates the ‘Thalavan’ team and calls the Asif Ali starrer an ‘excellent film'

The Malayalam thriller Thalavan continues to ride high on a wave of acclaim and success, recently receiving praise from legendary actor Kamal Haasan. Released on June 24, the film starring Asif Ali and Biju Menon has been lauded by both critics and audiences, marking a major milestone in Asif Ali's career, which has had several flops recently.

The excitement around ‘Thalavan’ reached new heights when Kamal Haasan invited the film's team to his Rajkamal Films office in Chennai. There, he expressed his admiration for the film, calling it an "excellent film" and praising the team's efforts.

Although Biju Menon was unable to attend due to prior commitments, Kamal Haasan conveyed his best wishes to him through the team.

Asif Ali shared this memorable occasion with fans by posting pictures on his official Facebook handle, accompanied by a heartfelt note: "A Day with Kamal, sir." The images of the 'Thalavan' team with Kamal Haasan have since gone viral on social media.

The screenplay, written by Sarath Perumbavoor and Anand Thevarakatt, has been particularly praised for its depth and engagement. The film's music by Deepak Dev, cinematography by Saran Velayudhan, and editing by Sooraj ES have also received commendation.

The film has captivated viewers with its compelling narrative and stellar performances, drawing packed houses even weeks after its release. Thalavan is set in rural Malabar and features a talented ensemble cast, including Anusree, Miya George, Dileesh Pothan, Kottayam Nazeer, Sankar Ramakrishnan, Joji K. John, Dinesh, Anurup, and Nandan Unni.

Meanwhile, the movie has collected more than Rs 13 crore from India in 20 days.
