As the Kerala Government has decided to start cinema tourism, the iconic location from ‘

Kireedam

’ and ‘Bekal’, where the song ‘

Uyire

’ from 1995 Tamil film ‘Bombay’ was shot, will become part of the tourism project. As per the reports, Minister

Saji Cherian

has instructed the secretaries to submit a report on the same, after further studies, by the end of November. Also, other prominent movie locations such as Vellayani lake where movies like ‘Dhruvam’, ‘Appu’, and ‘Manasinakkare’ were shot will also be included in the project. Last day tourism minister, P.A

Mohammad Riyas

took to his Facebook handle and shared a post announcing the same.

In P.A Mohammad Riyas’s Facebook post he mentions the importance of this project and why it would be beneficial to the tourism industry. The cinema tourism project will be executed in tie-up with the Department of Cultural Affairs. The minister also added that if the project is implemented, it would pave a way for the tourists to visit that location for once, and later the word of mouth would bring in more tourists.

The project will be initiated with the cooperation of famous movie stars. Mohammad Riyas concluded his Facebook post, inviting people to comment on those movie locations that they would want to be included in the project.
