Kuttanadan Marpappa movie review highlights: The first half has shades of humour and entertainment

Kuttanadan Marpappa, which elongates to 2 hours 20 minutes, is feel-good film, and is a romantic comedy. The film revolves around the life of John Paul, a photographer, at Karuvatta, Alappuzha.

Shanthi krishna plays his mom, who is again a happy-go-lucky mom, every child would dream of having. Just like in any entertainer, he also has a sidekick, who is also his best friend, in Dharmajan.

Everything is picturesque in the film, be it the vibrant Alappuzha or the colourful settings.
John has been a naïve man, right from his childhood, and his feelings for women has been such that it never sees the light of the day, the case of Jessy being an exception. The character of Jessy, a stereotypical ‘Nasarani’, is essayed by Aditi Ravi, who is the panchayath president’s daughter.

John develops an inclination towards her under certain circumstances. However, the opportunistic Jessy has an altogether different motive, when it comes to love life, Will John’s dreams come to fruition? We will have to wait and watch.
