‘Level Cross’ director Arfaz Ayub calls Asif Ali ‘an extraordinary actor’

‘Level Cross’ starring Asif Ali, Amala Paul, and Sharafudheen in the lead roles, is set to hit the big screens on Friday, July 26. The film is written and directed by Arfaz Ayub, who has previously worked as a chief associate to filmmaker Jeethu Joseph. From the promotional teasers to the character looks, ‘Level Cross’ has been the talk of the town for quite some time now.

Arfaz Ayub has now opened up about his casting choices. Talking to Cinema Express, the young director stated that the three main characters in the film were performance-oriented, and required talented actors to bring them to life. He expressed that the film required actors who could work closely with him without any ego. Arfaz Ayub said that Asif Ali is an ‘extraordinary actor’ and while working closely with him, he also got to know about the gem of a person he is.

Speaking about roping in Amala Paul, he stated that the character Chaithali she plays is a tall, beautiful, headstrong, and modern woman, and Amala was the first choice. He also revealed that though Sharafudheen wasn’t sure about whether the script could work for him, the actor was convinced in the second narration.

On the technical side, the cinematography of ‘Level Cross’ is done by Appu Prabhakar. Deepu Joseph is the editor. The music and original background score is done by Vishal Chandrashekhar.
