'Lokah' box office collections day 31: Dulquer Salmaan's film inches towards Rs 150 cr; Slows to Rs 144.50 cr

After a magnificent run through its first four weeks, 'Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra' seems to be slowing down as it enters its fifth weekend.

Reportedly on day 31 (fifth Saturday), the film collected an estimated Rs 1.60 crore across all languages, taking its India net total to Rs 144.50 crore.



According to the figures provided by the Sacnilk website, despite coming close, the much-anticipated Rs 150 crore mark still feels just out of reach.

Occupancy keeps 'Lokah' afloat

The Malayalam version continues to hold the fort for 'Lokah', with an overall occupancy of 30.57% on Saturday, September 27. Morning shows were steady at 21.55%, but audiences picked up later in the day, with evening shows peaking at nearly 40%. Tamil and Telugu versions contributed small shares, while Hindi screenings added a decent amount.

Directed by Dominic Arun, 'Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra' has been praised for its ambitious storytelling and stunning performances from Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan.

Week four alone brought in Rs 13.25 crore, driven heavily by the Malayalam audience, though that figure was already a 51% drop compared to earlier weeks.

'Lokah Chapter 2' announced

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan has dropped a major update on the movie last day. The team announced the second installment of 'Lokah' which will be revolving around Tovino Thomas' character Chathan. The makers shared a teaser for the second part, featuring a conversation between Tovino Thomas and Dulquer Salmaan's characters Chathan and Odiyan respectively. The video hints at the arrival of a bigger and much broader universe filled with interesting heroes and villains.
