Malayalam cinema is on the brink of a cinematic shift with the teaser release of 'Lokah - Chapter 1: Chandra', a film that dares to push genre boundaries. Produced under Dulquer Salmaan’s production house, this Dominic Arun directorial introduces the first chapter of a full-fledged superhero cinematic universe—aptly named Lokah.
Set in a post-apocalyptic backdrop and mounted on a mega budget, the teaser offers a glimpse into a world that feels like uncharted territory for Mollywood except the recently released film 'Gaganachari'.
Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra
The teaser begins with Naslen’s character walking through an abandoned, dystopian landscape which is an eerie factory-like space, before the scene explodes into action.
Moments later, the camera locks onto Kalyani Priyadarshan’s character, Chandra. It’s a striking entrance, and what follows suggests she is either lost in this chaotic universe or on a mission that will shake it to its core.
The wall graffiti that closes out the teaser—“She is coming”—leaves a haunting promise that Chandra is here to stay, or maybe it hints at a powerful antagonist incoming.
