Noted Malayalam-English poet, novelist, and script-writer TP Rajeevan passed away on Wednesday night (Nov 2). He was 63. He was undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments.
A winner of the prestigious Kerala Sahitya Akademi award among others, TP Rajeevan’s prominent works includes ‘Palerimanikyam Oru Pathira Kolapathakam’, ‘K T N Kottoor: Ezhuthum Jeevithavum’, ‘Kriyashesham’, and ‘Kunhali Marakkar’ among others.
TP Rajeevan’s novel ‘Palerimanikyam Oru Pathira Kolapathakam’ was adapted on the big screen under the same name. The film was directed by Ranjith and had Mammootty, Shwetha Menon, and Mythili in the lead roles.
M-Town celebs took to their respective social media handles to pay tributes to the late writer.
Superstar Mammootty paid tributes via social media. He penned, “ടി പി രാജീവന് ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ.”

Actress Shwetha Menon penned an emotional adieu to TP Rajeevan. Taking to her social media handle, she posted a photo and penned, “Gonna miss the interesting conversations we used to have �� adieu രാജീവേട്ടാ....om shanti!! TP Rajeevan -Thachompoyil Rajeevan.”

Actress Mythili too paid an emotional tribute to the late writer.
Many other M-Town celebs paid homage to the writer.
Meanwhile, TP Rajeevan is survived by his wife and two daughters.
